A new town in Bedfordshire called The Wixams will be built on the former Elstow Storage Depot site. There is a proposal to provide a Multi - Faith Facility in the new town and BCoF has been given an opportunity by the developers (Gallagher) and Bedford Borough Council to discuss the proposal and to visit the site on

9.05 Background information from Julia Holmes

9.45 – 10.45 Coach tour of Elstow, Wilstead, Houghton Conquest and Stewartby villages to include a brief stop at Seasons Garden Centre car park on the A6 at Wilstead. The centre of the first village to be built will be close to the garden centre. We will also stop briefly at the entrance to the old storage depot. We shall not be going onto the depot site as there is little to be seen now that it is almost derelict.

10.45 Return to Cardington for coffee, tea and light refreshments

11am – 12 noon Discussion re the provision for a Multi - Faith Facility in The Wixams
