The Citizens Advice service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination.

The service aims :

• to provide the advice people need for the problems they face
• to improve the policies and practises that affect people's lives

Relate Bedfordshire and Luton is an independent charity. It is affiliated to the national Relate federation, whose headquarters are in Doncaster. As an organisation, Relate has had over 60 years' experience in training new counsellors to help clients with their relationship problems. Currently there are around 85 Relate centres in the UK, employing over 2000 qualified counsellors. They have around 25 experienced and trained counsellors who work with couples or individuals, who are:

• Experiencing relationship difficulties
• Struggling through a bad patch
• Thinking of splitting up
• Trying to come to terms with the breakdown of their relationship

They support all areas of the community, young or old, regardless of background, gender, or ethnicity

Relate Bedfordshire and Luton also has an active Education and Training Department, which can offer 'Life Skills' Training courses to both the public and private sector
