- Please note the venue -

Celebration of the diversity of faiths practised in Bedford and
launch of Bedford Council of Faiths as a Registered Charity

This event is by invitation and is an initiative of BCoF to raise awareness in the local community, in particular, to inform the local community leaders of our role, profile and benefits to the whole community in what we do.

This event will explain how faith groups throughout the country are working together with businesses, the education sector and public bodies, encouraging appreciation of our diverse society and helping them meet the requirements of current legislation.

  • Keynote speaker Brian Pearce (Director of the Inter Faith Network) will offer a national perspective on inter faith relations in the UK.
  • The High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Clifton Ibbett, will briefly talk to us about his initiative of bringing together faith groups, businesses and charities.
This event is an opportunity for such leaders to explore with us the ways Bedford Council of Faiths can be of service to local organisations - the contribution which interfaith groups make to the community is now widely recognised and supported by central government and the European Union.
